Convenience store chain 7-Eleven is celebrating its 97th birthday on July 11th by giving away free small Slurpees to all customers who visit participating stores. The promotion is valid all day long, while supplies last.
"Our 97th birthday calls for something special, and nothing has been quite as special as our relationship with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals," said Raj Kapoor, 7-Eleven's vice president of marketing and brand innovation. "We're excited to celebrate with our customers and give back to our local communities."
7-Eleven has been a long-time supporter of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, donating more than $140 million to the organization over the years. The company's Slurpee Day promotion is one of its most popular ways to raise funds for the charity.
Last year, 7-Eleven raised more than $11 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals through its Slurpee Day promotion. The company hopes to raise even more money this year.
