Brendan Rodgers says Celtic can have a bit of fun in next Saturday's Old Firm
Brendan Rodgers insists there will be no complacency from Celtic as they bid to make it 11 league wins in a row against Rangers next weekend.
The Hoops boss is adamant his side will treat the match with the utmost respect, although he believes his players can relax a little more than in some previous meetings.
"We won't take any team for granted, but in the last two Old Firms we probably needed to win - and it's nice for us to have a little bit of freedom," Rodgers told the club's website.
"We can have a bit of fun with it and not have the expectation that we have to win. We should have that expectancy because we're playing at home and we've got a great record.
"But I'll encourage the players to go and enjoy the game and play with a great freedom, knowing that we're at our best when we do that."
Celtic have won their last 10 league meetings with Rangers, scoring 21 goals and conceding just two.
Rodgers' side will be looking to extend that run when the two teams meet at Celtic Park on Saturday, September 2.
