Alcaraz Arm Injury

Alcaraz Withdraws From Barcelona and Monte Carlo With Right Arm Injury

Rising Star's 2024 Season Stalled by Forearm Issue

Alcaraz Plans to Return at Madrid Open After Injury Break

Carlos Alcaraz has announced that he will not compete in the upcoming Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell or the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters due to a right forearm injury. The 18-year-old Spaniard withdrew from the Barcelona Open on Sunday after experiencing pain in his forearm during a practice session. He also visited the ATP 500 event to receive treatment.

Alcaraz's withdrawal from the Monte Carlo Masters marks the second consecutive tournament he has had to miss devido a injury. The rising star previously withdrew from the Indian Wells Masters with a similar issue. Despite these setbacks, Alcaraz is optimistic about his return to the court.

In a statement released by his team, Alcaraz said that he is "playing pain-free" at the Madrid Open, which is scheduled to begin on May 1. He added that he is "looking forward to competing again in front of the home crowd."

Alcaraz's injury is a blow to his 2024 season. The Spaniard has been in excellent form this year, winning three ATP titles and reaching the semifinals of the Australian Open. He is currently ranked No. 4 in the world.

Despite the setback, Alcaraz remains confident that he can achieve his goals for the season. He is determined to return to full fitness as soon as possible and make a strong push for the remaining Grand Slams.
